Arthur wasted no time. He quickly pulled out a knife from his boot and cut the rope he had tied around himself and you.
"Cap'n?-" Ian tried to say something but Arthur was in no mood nor did he have the time for chit chat.
"-J-Just go back to your station and man those sails." Arthur said, panting from exhaustion. Ian nodded and saluted his captain.
"Aye Cap'n." Ian said, taking one last look at you before quickly going to his station. Arthur stood quickly, holding your limp body in his arms. He quickly, as quickly as he could, made his way to his cabin. He glanced up at Francis who was looking at him with concern on his face. Arthur nodded and quickly walked down the hallway. The ship jerked to the side, causing Arthur to slam into the wall. He let out a grunt but kept going, tightening his grip on you. He kicked his door open with his foot, being that he had his hands full, and kicked it shut this time. He saw that Peter was still asleep on the couch. How he managed to stay on that couch while being unconscious was a mystery. He gently placed you on the floor. Being careful of your head, for he could already see a bruise from where you hit it before being swept out to sea. He gently touched the bruise, as if afraid he would hurt you.
'I can save her. I remember how she saved Peter
.B-But that mean I have to
to
' Arthur gulped, his face turning every shade of red under the sun. He bit his bottom lip, contemplating what to do.
'Come on Arthur! I can't let her die because I was too chicken to get that close to her! Come on
come on!' Arthur decided it was time to man up. He took his coat off and folded it. Gently, he lifted your head and slid his coat underneath, lying your head carefully back down. He swallowed hard, realizing what he would need to do. He tried not to think about the fact that he'd never courted a woman before, let alone kiss one. You would be his first. But it wasn't really a kiss
..right? Right???
"Oh boy
" Arthur breathed. He wasn't sure if he could do this. But at the same time he knew he needed to.
"Alright, what did she do when she saved Peter
she placed her hands, one over the other, over his chest." he said aloud. He lifted his hands up to begin but stopped, keeping his hands hovering above your chest. His face turning red again.
'B-But I cannot touch her like that! That wouldn't be very gentlemanly!' he thought to himself. He gulped again.
"C-Come on. You can do this!" he said, reassuring himself. He took in a deep breath, determined to save your life. Even if it meant
touching you. He slowly placed his hands in the middle of your chest. Turning beet red once again.
'A-Alright. Then she pressed on his chest over and over.' he thought. Face as red as his coat. He began pushing on your chest in repeated movements, careful not to apply too much pressure, after all he didn't want to crush you.
"H-hey, th-this isn't so bad!" he said to himself, proud of the progress he had made so far. But now the time had come. The second half of the CPR process. And it didn't take much to remind Arthur of that. He stopped pressing on your chest and slowly reached his hand toward your face.
'O-Okay
.I can do this
.I can do this!' he reasoned with himself. He gulped. He gently opened your mouth and plugged your nose. He started to sweat a little from nervousness.
'This is harder then I thought!' he thought frantically to himself. He took in a few breaths.
"O-Okay
h-here we go." he said. He looked at you, admiring how pretty you looked
that wasn't helping him at all by the way. He slowly inched his face closer to yours, but then he stopped.
'I can't do this!' he thought frantically, face as red as it had ever been and growing hotter by the second. But he then scolded himself. 'Yes you can! You've faced far more terrifying things then this! Just do it!' he yelled in his head. He gulped again and took in a deep breath, slowly his mouth came closer to yours, and closer, and closer
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You groaned. You were in so much pain. The first thing you noticed was your head, It was in pain, to the point of almost throbbing. Your lungs were sore. They felt tired. Your whole body felt like it was made of lead. You slowly opened your eyes. Your vision was blurry at first. You blinked a few times to clear your vision, which alone seemed very laborious. Once it was clear you found yourself staring at the ceiling. You weren't sure where you were.
'Huh?' you thought in your foggy head. You then came to realize that wherever you were in was soft underneath you. Very soft. You found yourself closing your eyes again, sighing in comfort, feeling yourself sink deeper into the softness. But then you thought of something.
'Wait a minute
since when is the couch ever this soft?' You opened your eyes again and tilted your head to the left. You could not believe what you saw.
'Red blankets? Black sheets? Red silk pillows? Wait a minute
' you glanced at yourself and found that you were lying in a bed. But more specifically, Arthur's bed.
'Why that sneaky little!' you thought angrily to yourself. You were about to think of multiple ways of chewing him out when memories of being washed away by that giant wave came flooding back in your mind.
'Oh
.that's right
' you thought, furrowing your brows, trying to remember what happened after you hit your head
you were drawing a blank. A big, fat, boring blank. Suddenly your head panged with pain, You lifted your right hand to grab your aching head but something was preventing it from moving.
'Huh???' You looked over to see what was halting your desired movements. What you saw softened your face. It was Peter. He was holding your hand while his head rested on the edge of the bed. He was asleep. You smiled sweetly.
'Poor Peter.' you thought. You tried rolling over, with much difficulty you managed to. Groaning as you did. You were sore all over. Your movements woke Peter up. His eyes fluttered, rubbing them with his free hand.
"Hmmm-mm?" he mumbled in his tired little voice. But the moment he saw you his eyes lit up with a mix of excitement and relief.
"Oh! Miss (name)! Your alive! And awake! This is ever so good!" he said, almost leaping at you, embracing you with his small arms. You would have enjoyed said hug if you weren't in so much discomfort. Also
he sort of hit the bruise on your head.
"Ow!" you said aloud. Peter gasped, realizing what he had done. He quickly let go and stood up, covering his mouth.
"I-I'm so sorry miss! I forgot about your bruise!" he said, worry filling his little blue eyes. You grunted in pain but nodded to reassure him.
'Man that hurt I- wait a minute
.bruise?' you thought. Now, not only was your head killing you but the confusion wasn't making it any better.
"Bruise?" you asked slowly. Peter nodded sadly and gestured to the right side of your head. You furrowed your brows but soon regretted it. Just that small gesture alone sent a wave of pain through your head. You hissed in pain and gently brought your hand to your right temple.
"O-Owwwwww." you said quietly, wondering just how big the bruise was. Judging by the pain you were experiencing
it must have been fairly big.
"Guh
.what happened?" you asked out loud. Peter, never being one to leave out any details, piped up.
"You hit your head pretty hard on the canon just before you went over board miss." he said, sadness radiating through the last part of his sentence. You looked up in thought.
'That's right
.I remember hitting my head on something before blacking out
' you thought to yourself before looking back up at Peter.
"How long have I been unconscious?" you asked slowly. You figured it wouldn't have been long, an hour or two at the most-
"-Two days now." he said, looking as serious as he'd ever been
I suppose it was longer then you had expected. Your eyes widened.
"Two days?!?" you exclaimed, grabbing your head at your sudden outburst. Peter was quickly at your side to see if there was anything he could do to help.
"Are you alright???" he asked in concern, grabbing onto your arm gently, seeming almost afraid to let go of you. You nodded slowly and sighed, looking up.
"Who knew I hit my head that hard." you said, more to yourself. But you couldn't help but wonder
.what had happened after you were swept away?
"Hey
Peter?" you asked, causing the boy to look over at you.
"Yes Miss (name)?" he said ever so politely. You smiled at his courteousness.
"What happened after I, you know, went over board?" You asked, curiosity eating away at your tired, and now just a little less painful, head.
"Well
I'm not quite sure of all the details exactly because I was asleep myself. But when I woke up you were on the floor looking pretty lifeless and banged up." he said. Suddenly a goofy smile spread across his face, his cheeks tinting the slightest pink.
"That's when I caught my brother kissing you." he said, grinning ear to ear. You stopped everything you were doing at the moment, which wasn't much. You made a perfect 'Wth?' expression and looked at Peter. 'DidhejustsaywhatIthinkhesaid???' you thought quickly in your mind. Probably looking really confused
and embarrassed. You had never been kissed before
you have your four brothers to thank for that. They'd threaten any boy who came so much as one hundred feet of you with threats of shot guns, gruesome depictions or threatening to shove them in a deli slicer. So, needless to say this was
big?
"What do you mean by that?" you said slowly, processing what he had said. He was giggling like a giddy school boy.
"I mean he kissed you! Three times in fact! But he did it all wrong." he said. You stifled a laugh.
"Wrong?" you asked, becoming a little suspicious now. Peter nodded as if he were the kissing king. Who did he think he was? Francis? Wait
.scratch that. Bad images. Bad images!
"Yes! He kept pushing on your chest for some reason. But after he kissed you the third time you started coughing up water and breathing again!" he said. It clicked. You finally got it.
'He wasn't kissing me! He was applying CPR! Smart guy, after only watching me do it once.' you thought to yourself, though you couldn't help but blush in the slightest. Why though? You would have smacked yourself for acting like a school girl
had it not been for the enormous bruise on your head.
"Hey
speaking of which, where is he anyways?" you asked before you could stop yourself. Peter, still smiling like a little devil, pointed to the door.
"He's out on deck at the moment." he said. You nodded, feeling like you should at least let him know you were alive and awake. Not like he'd care but still, you felt he deserved to know. You slowly rose to your feet but then a rush of dizziness came swiftly to your head. Unable to see anything from this you had to sit down immediately. Peter helping you every step of the way.
"Be careful miss! I don't want you to get hurt again!" he said with concern in his voice. This time you had to agree with him. It would be best if you didn't do anything strenuous at the moment. After all, you nearly had a concussion and you haven't eaten in almost 3 days. And boy did your stomach let you know right away. It made the loudest growl you had ever heard it make. You let out a short laugh, unable to stop it from coming out in the first place. You looked over at Peter who was looking at you with a sweet expression on his face.
"Would you like me to get you some food my lady?" he asked in his sweet little voice. His hands folded in font of him. You blushed but nodded quickly. Peter jumped to his feet and headed for the door quickly.
"I'll only be a moment! You stay here until I return." he said. And with that he was gone, leaving you all alone in the gently rocking room. You felt yourself sink into the blankets again as you gently laid back down across the bed.
'I wonder if Arthur was a sweet as Peter when he was younger
.wait, why do I care??' you thought, shaking your head a bit. Then you thought of Alfred. Poor Alfred. You hadn't called him in a while. He'd be worried for sure. But you would have to wait to call him. Then something hit you.
'My bracelet!' you thought, frantically sitting up. But then your vision was obscured by another wave of dizziness, causing you to lie back down. Unable to see at the moment you frantically felt on your left wrist. To your relief you hadn't lost your bracelet when you went overboard.
'Alfred is going to have a cow when he hears about this' you thought, softly chuckling at how you thought he would react. More like overreact. Suddenly your thoughts were interrupted by the door opening and quick footsteps coming in.
"Here is your food miss!" Peter said, holding out a tray of food for you. You smiled and sat up, slowly this time. Thankfully you didn't get dizzy this time. Peter gently laid the tray next to you and sat on the opposite side of the tray.
"I hope its to your liking." he said, fiddling with his hands, almost looking worried at your disapproval. You smiled and laughed a bit.
"Hey, I haven't eaten in days. Anything is to my liking right about now." you said, gently running your hand through his hair. He smiled sweetly at you. He was so cute. It made you wish you had a younger brother. But then hunger reminded you to eat. And eat you did. You were sure you put Peter to shock at the quickness of your eating. You usually didn't eat this fast. But soon the food was gone. Stew, biscuits and a few slices of apple. You figured Gibbons wanted it to be special for you. You enjoyed every bite of it. The dizziness soon vanished and you could finally stand up. You slowly rose to your feet and grabbed the tray, but Peter's hands covered yours as he looked at you.
"No, no. I will take care of this. Don't you worry about a thing miss." he said, smiling at you. You slightly shrugged your shoulders and let go of the tray. Peter hopped off the bed and headed for the door. But he stopped halfway and looked at you.
"Miss?" he asked. You turned around and looked at him.
"Yes?" you said. Peter looked down, fiddling with the tray in his hands before looking back up at you.
"Would you
.would you go and see my brother now?" he asked, almost pleading. You looked at him confused.
"Please miss." he begged this time "He's been a wreck ever since you got hurt. He hasn't slept well ever since the incident
in fact, I think he refuses to sleep." You looked at Peter in surprise. In fact you were surprised.
"I think that if he saw you awake and alright
well I think it would sooth his soul." he said poetically. 'Why does it sound like he cares about me?' you thought. Well, you were going to see him anyways. So with a slow nod you agreed. This brightened Peter's face up quickly.
"Oh thank you ever so much miss!" he said before turning around and opening the door. He stopped and turned around.
"Aren't you coming?" he asked. You nodded to him.
"Yeah, I'll be along in a minute." you said, giving him a reassuring smile. He nodded and left you alone in the room. It was quiet for a moment. Just you by yourself. You can't remember the last time you had heard such quiet before. It was nice.
"He's been concerned about me?" you asked aloud. It confused you. But you figured he would be in a gloomy mood. So you looked for your sweatshirt. You figured maybe you could cheer him up with some music! But your sweatshirt was no where to be found.
"What?" you said aloud. Where could it have gone? 'Where is my hoodie???' you thought frantically. But then you calmed down.
'I'll just ask Arthur. I'm sure he placed it somewhere.' you thought. You took in a deep breath and turned on your heals, heading for the door. When your hand met the cold brass handle of the door you stopped. You weren't really sure why you hesitated. You shook your head and slowly turned the knob, opening the door with a quiet creak. It was dark out so only a tiny bit of light from the lantern outside streamed in through the stained glass window on the other door. You slowly walked down the hall. So many thoughts wandering in your head at the moment. You had to stop the flood of thought because it was starting to hurt your head. You quickly planned out what to say and how to cheer him up. Though you weren't sure why you wanted to cheer him up
oh well!
You slowly opened the door, immediately being greeted by the gentle wind flowing past your skin. You smiled. For some reason you had missed it. You looked around and noticed that the deck was clear of people. You figured everyone was probably already in bed at the moment. You'd be sure to see Ian and Gibbons first thing in the morning. You didn't see Arthur. You stepped out, quietly closing the door behind you and took a few quiet steps forward, looking around.
'That's weird. Peter said he was out here.' you thought. You slowly turned around and walked toward the stairs leading to the upper deck. You spotted him up there. Though his hat was missing. A small smile crept on your face. You quietly tiptoed up the stairs, being careful not to make a sound. He was leaning on the railing looking out to sea. You quietly walked toward him. You wondered why your boots didn't make a sound. Then you looked down and realized that you weren't wearing your boots. You shrugged this off and approached Arthur.
"Peter told me you'd be out here." you said gently. Even though you said it gently, Arthur jumped at the sound of your voice and spun around quickly, griping onto the railing. Looking like he was about to have a heart attack. The expression on his face would have been comical
had it not been so sweet and concerned looking. His emerald green eyes had a look of worry, relief and shock in them. You smiled gently up at him.
"(N-Name)?" he asked just above a whisper. You couldn't see the slight blush rising on his cheeks because it was dark out. You looked down at what was in his hands. It was your sweatshirt. You looked at him with a slight puzzled look on your face. He soon realized what you were looking at and looked at his hands.
"O-Oh! I was just, uh, k-keeping this safe. So no one would take it
" he said, his voice fading off slightly at the end. You nodded and took a few steps forward, embracing him in a hug. This took him completely by surprise, causing his head to shoot up and face to heat up more. Arthur wasn't the best in these sort of situations so it was
awkward to say the least. For him anyways.
"Thank you." you said into his shoulder. He just stood there in shock for a moment.
'Come on you dolt! Hug her back!' Arthur scolded in his head. This time, he wouldn't let this opportunity pass him by. He slowly wrapped his arms around your frame and gave you an embracing hug back.
"N-No need to thank me." he said nervously. In all honesty he was just glad that you were okay. He hugged you a little tighter.
"I'm glad you're alright." he said quietly. You opened your eyes and smiled, pulling away from him.
"Thank you
for saving me and everything." you said. He cleared his throat and looked out to the sea.
"It was no trouble at all." he said, almost shoving the sweatshirt at you. You had to blink a few times to get what was in front of your face into focus.
"I believe this is yours." he said. You slowly reached out for it and took it from him.
"Thanks." you said. He looked back at you and nodded. You gave him a half smile and looked down at your hoodie.
"I'm sorry if I worried you or anything." you said. Arthur waved his hand gently in the air.
"Oh don't worry about me. I am perfectly fine. Things have been running smoothly since you were out." he said. Though he said that, it was an utter lie. Things hadn't run smoothly at all. In fact the whole crew seemed to work slower and more sluggish since you were out. Especially Ian. Even Francis didn't seem to be his usual self. But you didn't know that. You just nodded.
"Oh. I see." you said, walking over to the railing. When you weren't looking Arthur face palmed at his stupidity.
'Idiot.' he scolded himself, slowly removing his hand from his face.
"W-Well
perhaps not quite as smoothly." he said, looking at you over his shoulder. You turned your head and looked up at him. Now that you were able to get a better look at him, he did look tired. Really tired. Just like Peter had said.
"But I thought you said-" Arthur interrupted you.
"-I know what I said. But
it wasn't entirely true." he said, approaching the railing as well. You eyed him and cocked an eyebrow. This received a quiet chuckle from him.
"I suppose you could say
things haven't been as lively since you've been out." he said, giving you a small smile. You tilted your head to the side.
"Really? I had no idea." you said, quickly sitting down on the floor with your back against the railing. Arthur eyed you quizzically, that is, until you patted the spot next to you. He got the hint and slowly sat next to you, folding his arms over his knees.
"So Captain, mind telling me what happened after I hit my head?" you said, looking over at him. He turned his head to look at you, immediately seeing the nasty bruise you had gotten. His heart flinched when he saw this. For some reason he felt like it was his fault.
"Well
" he began. "I had to go in after you." You blinked a few times and then looked straight ahead.
"Why? You could have let me drowned and then a lot of your problems would have been over." you said, feeling slightly bitter. Arthur looked at you in shock. Why would you say that? Why would you think that?
"Why would you think I would ever do something like that?" he asked. You shrugged your shoulders and looked over at him.
"I don't know
" you ended your sentence quick when you saw the expression on his face. He was serious. Dead serious. It made you uncomfortable so you looked down at your hands.
"(Name). As Captain it is my duty to ensure the protection of each and every one of my crew members." he said, leaning in slightly. "That includes you" You looked up at him and noticed that his features softened completely.
"Oh
..I didn't know that." you said quietly. Arthur smiled at you.
"Of course. You are part of the crew after all." he said. You remembered that he didn't fully answer your question.
"So what happened exactly?" you asked. He blinked a few times and then looked away.
"Well. It was quite a struggle to find you at first, what with the elements working against me and all. But I eventually found you and pulled you back onto the ship. But then you weren't breathing so
" His voice trailed off at the end, remembering clearly what happened next. This caused his face to heat up.
"So
what did you do?" you asked. You already knew what happened next but you asked anyways. Thankfully for Arthur the sound of the waved splashing against the ship drowned out the sound of him gulping.
"Well
a-a miracle happened!" he said enthusiastically
with a hint of nervousness. You cocked an eyebrow.
"A
miracle?" you asked. 'Is he trying to avoid telling me what happened?' you thought to yourself.
"Yes!" he said, unknown to you his eyes were shifting in thought. Trying to think of a quick lie. Pirates. What are you going to do?
"And just what did this
'miracle' entail?" you asked, leaning a little closer to him. This didn't help him in his thinking/lying process. Yet. A light bulb went off in his head.
"W-Well
You just coughed up the water and started breathing on your own!" he said, giving you a toothy grin.
'Idiot! That's the best you could think of?!?' he thought, mentally slapping himself. You just looked at him blankly, still giving him that cock eyed expression. He chuckled nervously.
"Heh heh. M-Miraculous isn't it?" he asked, drumming his fingers on his knees, waiting for your response. He felt doomed. He knew you wouldn't believe that. Only an inbred moron with a room temperature IQ would believe that-
"-Well I guess I'm pretty lucky then, right?" you said, clearly sensing his nervousness with his lame story. But you would let it slide. Though you weren't sure why he was having a hard time telling you that he gave you CPR. Unless he was, dare we say, bashful about it? Arthur blinked at you in shock.
'She
she actually believed that?!?' he thought. You laughed at his dumbstruck expression and elbowed him playfully.
"Right?" you asked again. He blinked rapidly and nodded.
"Y-Yes
.R-Right" he said, now furrowing his brows in confusion.
'That doesn't make sense. She's a smart girl. Why would she believe something as ridiculous as that??? Hmmm
perhaps her being unconscious has fogged up her thinking ability. Well, that's good for me right now.' he thought. But his thoughts were interrupted by your hand waving in front of his face.
"Hello? Earth to Arthur. Wake up!" you said. He shook his head and blinked, focusing on you.
"Huh? What?" he asked. You smirked and shook your head.
"I said 'what happened to my boots?'" you repeated. Arthur slowly looked down at your bare feet. You wiggled your toes in response.
"O-Oh! Well I had them removed. I figured you would be dreadfully uncomfortable with them on. What with them being wet and all. I set them aside by my desk to dry. So they'd be ready for you when you awoke." he said, smiling sheepishly at you. No it was more of an awkward smile. Awkward Arthur is awkward.
"So how much farther until we can land the ship?" you asked, smiling at his behavior. This seemed to break Arthur out of his awkward phase. He looked up in thought.
"Well
.thanks to that storm it pushed us ahead. So we should be there with in just a few days actually. Much sooner then we had anticipated." he said. You nodded and blew your cheeks out.
'This month is going by slower then I thought.' you thought to yourself. You shrugged and pushed the thought out of your mind. You looked over and found yourself looking face to face with Arthur. His eyes seemed to be studying you for some reason. How long had he been staring at you like that?
"What happened to your hat?" you asked, quickly changing the subject. Staring
definitely not your thing. He raised his eyebrows and looked up at his hatless head.
"Oh
.I lost it in the storm" he said, chuckling a bit. You made a small frown.
"That sucks." you said. He furrowed his brows and looked at you in confusion. You quickly translated that for him.
"What I mean to say is, that's a shame." you said. He waved his hand as if to wave the thought away.
"Oh it happens quite often. A pirate or sailor looses many a hats in his sailing life." he said. You nodded slowly. Your head was still killing you.
"Don't you have a spare?" you asked. Arthur lowered his head in embarrassment.
"That was my spare hat." he mumbled. You laughed and patted his shoulder.
"Hey don't worry about it. You can pick up another one when we get on land. I'll even help you pick one out." you said with a smile. He lifted his head and looked at you for a moment before a smile spread across his face.
"I would like that." he said. You smiled at him and he smiled at you. It was official. You two were sharing a Disney moment. The only thing that was missing was the talking animals and music montage. Not like you'd find that way out in the ocean
right?
"Oh!" you said suddenly, breaking the touching moment you two were sharing. Somewhat startling Arthur in the process.
"What is it?" he asked. Traces of concern in his voice. You dug through your hoodie pocked and pulled out your phone, turning it on. Now that Arthur knew about it you felt no need to hide it from him. Though, unbeknown to you, the mere sight of your phone made Arthur a little nervous. It was still something new and strange to him. And quite honestly it frightened him a little. Not that he'd ever admit that. He stared at the glowing device in your hands, never taking his eyes off of it. He remembered when he first saw it and the confrontation that followed.
"Wh-What are you going to do with that?" he asked, trying to sound as composed as he could. You smiled and looked up at him.
"I want a picture of you." you said. He looked at you confused.
"A
picture?
..Of me?" he asked. You nodded and laughed.
"Here. Just wait a minute and I'll show you what I mean." you said, waiting for your phone to fully turn on. Once it did you noticed the energy bar. It was halfway empty. Or halfway full depending on which way you look at it. You frowned at this.
'Crap. Its at half power already? Shesh, I hope it will last throughout the month.' you thought.
"(Name)? Are you alright?" Arthur asked, looking at you in concern. You shook your head to clear your thought. You nodded and smiled at him.
"I'm fine. Don't worry about it" you said, returning your attention to your phone. As you flipped to the camera option Arthur looked over at you, watching your fingers. He noticed how the contraption in your hands seemed to obey the command of your fingers. The small glowing glass window had strange moving shapes on it
it confused him tremendously. Yet at the same time fascinated him and captured his attention. It was almost bewitching for him.
"Okay!" you said, changing the position you were in. Arthur blinked in confusion, not really sure what you were doing.
"Just stay still and smile." you said, he cocked an eyebrow and looked at you confused. You giggled and shook your head slightly. Wincing a little at the pain from your head.
"Are you-" Arthur began to say but you cut him off with a smile and held your phone up.
"-I'm fine. Now smile for me. Kay?" you asked sweetly. As confused as Arthur was he complied and gave you a nice smile. You smiled in reply and took his picture. With the flash of your camera, and a stunned Arthur, you smiled. He was very photogenic.
"Mind telling me why you blinded me?" he asked, rubbing his eyes. You giggled and scooted over to him and showed him the picture.
"Tada~!" you said. Arthur blinked a few times to retrieve his sight again. Once he did he looked at it in awe, recalling you doing this the first time he caught you with your strange device. A grin crossed his face.
"Ah. It's that moment capturer." he said. You shook your head and smiled.
"Its called a camera silly. Now hold still again." you said, scooting right next to him. Arthur blushed and panicked a little.
"Wh-What are you doing?!" he asked. You smirked and held your phone in front of the both of you.
"Smile" you said, smiling yourself. You took the picture and looked at it. You started laughing. The expression on Arthur's face was priceless. It was just pure adorable awkwardness.
"What's so funny?" he asked. You showed him the picture and he let out a small chuckle. You spent the rest of the night chit chatting with Arthur and taking goofy pictures. Once again he offered you to take his bed. Considering your current condition, you accepted it this time. The thought of sleeping on the couch when your head was killing you was less then tempting. And considering that Arthur had saved your life, you didn't feel like he was so untrustworthy. Arthur helped you to the room, considering you were having another dizzy spell. Once your head hit the silk pillow pure euphoria overwhelmed you. You were considerably comfortable.
'Why hadn't I taken up his offer from the beginning?' you thought to yourself. You felt bad that Arthur had to sleep on the couch, it was actually kind of funny. The couch was WAY too short for him. But you were too tired to speak up. Sleep took you over with in seconds.
'Lucky guy has such a comfortable bed
I want one when I get back home' you thought just before you drifted off to sleep. It was almost halfway through the month and things were going very well. Or so you thought.
and haha~ CPR scene, priceless~
